What I'm Working On

I thought I would share some things I have been working on.

Here's a tag using a new stamp I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby.
I used Tim Holz Mowed Lawn Distress Ink on the stamp and edged the tag with Tea Dye Ink. I used Black Soot on the Three Stars stamp from Quirky Girl by Yvonne Blair. Flowers are from Prima and bling from Recollections. Jolees Boutique Spring Bird Sticker is on there as well. I think I will add a ribbon to separate the two areas - it needs more....

At the retreat last weekend, I made these 2 layouts using an old kit I had. It was the February 2013 Kit Of The Month from My Craft Channel called All Because 2 People Fell In Love.
This pic was taken at a company Christmas party about 3 years ago.

This photo was taken about 8 years ago.  What a difference 5 years make. lol.

It's so nice of My Craft Channel to send me emails about their bargains. ;)

Today I have been working on making tags for the Tag Exchange Group I recently joined. It's a 4th of July theme. I think they'll look good on my "holiday" tree. :)

Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #26

Hi all! I have joined a challenge group from Studio L3 using A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3, the latest book by Tim Holtz.  If you are up for a fun and educational challenge, join us! I am loving all the techniques in Tim's books. We are on challenge #26 - Smudge Stamping. It's a fun and easy technique found on page 42 of the book. If you join the challenge, you have a chance to win an awesome prize of an assortment of Tim’s products, courtesy of Tim himself and Mario Rossi, his Logistics Director.  And, this week The Funkie Junkie Boutique is back to sponsor Challenge 26 and has a fabulous $25 shopping spree to one very lucky CC3Cer! Check them out here:
Here is my entry using the smudge stamping technique:

I left room to add a little photo. Hope you like it!

Some of the products I used were:

Tim Holtz Distress Inks - barn door, ripe persimmon and broken china
Prima - Julie Nutting Doll Stamp - Mia
Yvonne Blair Designs/Impression Obsession, Inc rubber stamp J17000 - dandelion
I don't remember the maker of the butterflies and quotation. Sorry!
I colored those with Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Markers

I really enjoyed this challenge! Can't wait until the next one!
