Senior Layout

Here's a layout I worked on yesterday:
I used Creative Memories Black & White Designer Print paper. I used my new Martha Stewart Edger Punch. It worked well once I figured it out. lol. I got the bling from the clearance bin at Michael's. The first place ribbon I cut out on my Revolution. I was going to enter this in a challenge but didn't get it in in time. At least I got another page for Son #1's Senior year album.

New Card Sketch

Thought I'd whip up another card using the Challenge #14 sketch from Frosted Designs. Here's my interpretation:
I used pink cardstock from ANW Crestwood. Layered on plaid, green and purple paper form DCVW . Ribbon is from Offray, (dollar bin at Michaels!). I cut out the bunny on my Cricut using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. The little eggs I cut on my Revolution using a new Easter die I just received. Bling is from Michaels, too. Hope you like it!

12 Freezer Meals!

I have this friend whose name is Rhonda. She is what you would call a "go-getter." She's not happy unless she is making something or helping someone make something. She's the one who got me started in scrapbooking. She also got me started on Tastefully Simple products. This Sunday she hosted her first Tastefully Simple Freezer Meals Workshop. You purchase seven items to use in your meals (and keep the leftovers.) You bring your own meat and add-ins (she gives you a list) and in two hours you have 12 freezer meals. You can store them for 3 to 6 months in the freezer bag you mix them in. I've already made two of them (stuffed chicken breasts last night, seasoned hamburgers tonight) so I doubt they'll last that long. Here we are mixing up one the meals. Just dump the ingredients into the freezer bag and moosh.
Here's what they look like when assembled:
Another good thing about this is that you can host one at your home and you get credit for the seven items purchased by the participants. Check out Rhonda's Facebook page if you want to know more.

Frosted Designs Card Challenge

I decided to try my hand at a Sketch Along Tuesday card design from Frosted Designs. Hope you enjoy it. Here is the sketch:

And here is my interpretation:
I used papers and cardstock from DCWV The Sweet Stack with a butterfly from Ashland Signature Accents and Michael's Rhinestones. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Sketch Along Tuesdays with Frosted Designs

This week sketch #36 from Frosted Design was designed by Marina. Great inspirational layouts can be found on their blog HERE. Here is my interpretation.
The two smaller photos are from DH's Grandma's old photos. It's her and her 2 sisters (The Three Sisters) cottage at Koontz Lake in 1949. I thought about removing the ink writing but that's what Grandma always did - write on the pictures - so I left it as is with her handwriting. The bottom photo is actually a postcard I found on Ebay of Koontz Lake. It says "The Old Swimmin' Hole, Koontz Lake, Walkerton, Ind." A great find!
The papers I used were from K & Company Julianne Vintage (great new pad I just bought from Michaels!).  The background cardstock was from DCWV The Four Seasons and the borders on the pictures are from the Natural Botanical stack by The Paper Studio. The sticker Simple Pleasures is from Creative Memories Reminisce and the ribbons and flowers were from my box of stash. :) I got to use my new Large Circle Cutter from Martha Stewart Crafts, too! I hope you enjoy the layout.

Fruit Pizza

What do you do with a bunch of fruit going to waste? Make a fruit pizza!
First you roll out a tube of sugar cookie dough pretty thin (it puffs up during cooking). I cooked it in a 350 degree for about 20 minutes.
You have to let it cool complete before the topping on.
Mix together 8 oz cream cheese and 3/4 c. powdered sugar until smooth.
Spread it onto the cookie crust. Top with various sliced fruits. I used grapes, kiwis, bananas and blueberries. I usually use a lot of strawberries but couldn't find any good ones. Next time I'll put more fruit on it than I did this time.
Finally, top with pie filling. I used strawberry. It was pretty darn good!

Birthday Card

I haven't felt to creative lately with this dang sinus infection. I managed to make a birthday card for my sister. Happy birthday, Teri! Unfortunately, the photo is fuzzy. But I used my new Cricut cartridge, Preserves, to cut the raspberries and strawberries. The border is from the Reminisce cartridge.

Hopefully I'll remember to get it in the mail sometime soon!

Raisins

Ok. So I saw this and it pretty much explains me:
Just sayin'...
